Growing Tips
- •Stake or cage plants when transplanting to avoid root damage later
- •Remove suckers for larger fruits, or leave for more but smaller tomatoes
- •Water deeply and consistently to prevent blossom end rot
- •Mulch heavily to retain moisture and prevent soil splash
- •Plant DEEP at transplant — strip the lower leaves until only the topmost 4–5 sets of leaves are left, then bury the rest of the stem underground. Roots form along the buried stem and make the plant much more drought-resistant.
